Made to feel very welcome nothing was too kuchen trouble. Had Sunday roast which was amazing loads of meat and the pan fried sea bass. I will definitely be visiting again

Having been staying locally The Lion Head was one of the restaurant options in the local area. We loved the decor, warmth and how welcoming the restaurant was. Out barman was so polite and welcoming that we made a point to make sure we go on and give this review! They had a good selection on the menu of wholesome, hearty but modern dishes which we loved. We eat in a lot of restaurants and were pleasantly surprised by this little gem in such a rural location. Would highly recommend and visit again if in the area. Be sure to visit!
Sunday Lunch was second to none. The vegetables were super and the Meat was very tender & tasty. Service with a smile. Please try to visit The Lion for a Sunday Lunch. GIVE THEM A TRY.. I'm sure you will not be disappointed....but don't have a big Breakfast. (You've been warned) I'm not one for Puddings but the Aero Mint Cheesecake was a bit of alright ! loved her My 96yr old Mum absolutely loved her visit to The Lion, Llansantffraid. Always pop here now and then for a reliable bite to eat, great food and reasonably priced. Lovely friendly staff with prompt service. On settling the bill, we were notified that kids get to eat free for February half term. Nice to see that a local pub is able to promote this!
Went Saturday for a meal with another couple . Quite quiet but a very nice experience. Staff from start to finish were welcoming , helpful and knowledgeable. Food was great value and tasty . All dishes were delicious. Well done all involved
We didn't stay in the hotel but popped in for an impromptu lunch. The service and locals were lovely and the food was gorgeous and homecooked. Best fish and chips I've had in ages.
After breaking down and arriving 7 hours later than expected, we were reassured by phone calls to let us know our room would be waiting and if it was after hours they would leave our room key in a safe place. Fantastic customer service. Fabulous 2 night stay, came to visit family and had a beautiful clean room and the comfiest bed. Breakfast was sooooo good. Full Welsh/ English Breakfast with gorgeous produce, no doubt locally sourced and eggs Benedict the second morning , ham and eggs are delicious and the yolks bright orange. Absolutely loved our time here and it made a family reunion weekend not just good but epic. We will definitely be booking for all future visits to Llandsantffraid. Thank you everyone. Great job. Xx
Fabulous lunch today. Braised brisket of beef was perfect as was the Guinness. Loved talking to the locals they were so nice. The person who served us went the extra mile. Wordsoup on the quiz machine. Great day thanks team.
Really lovely meal here today, welcoming and friendly staff, great service, excellent food, and plenty of it at a reasonable price! Clean and tidy throughout with a nice relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely be back! Plenty of parking too.
